Master Student at California State University, Long Beach.
My Story
I am a graduate student at California State University, Long Beach, where I earned my bachelor's degree in geology. During my undergraduate studies, I developed a strong interest in geophysics, which I continue to pursue by acquiring skills in geophysical methods for groundwater remediation. From a young age, I have been mindful of the environmental issues we face as a growing society with limited resources, and I look forward to contributing to the GEMS program by training students on various geophysical methods and hydrogeology techniques.
I am Mexican-American, raised in Mexico, and moved to the United States seeking better opportunities to support myself while pursuing my education. I thrive on challenges and enjoy helping others succeed. I am excited to be part of the GEMS program, where I can continue to grow as a mentor and help advance solutions for current and future environmental challenges.
